About me

My photo
Denise
I am blessed beyond measure. My best friend and spiritual hero has been my husband for 31 years. After we experienced years of infertility, the Lord did the impossible and made us the parents of twelve (ages 24 to 11). Nine of those kiddos joined our family through adoption from Russian orphanages. Our two oldest daughters have married godly men whom I now love as sons. Three "grandtreasures" complete our extra-large tribe. Most significantly, though, my heart belongs to Jesus, who--through His loving sacrifice on the cross--has lifted me out of the miry pit of my sinfulness and given me eternal hope. He died for me. Each day I try to live for Him.

Beginning to Memorize Today

16 April 2013
"Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down"
Proverbs 12:25a

I choose this verse with the thought that next time I start to feel down, I'm going to search my heart to see if anxiety is really at the root of the sense of despair or feeling overwhelmed.

Second Day of Memorization

16 April 2013
"On the day I called,
You answered me;
You made me bold
with strength in my soul."
Psalm 138:3

Third Day of Memorization

16 April 2013
"The thief comes only to
steal and kill and destroy;
I (Jesus) came that they may have life,
and have it abundantly."
Psalm 31:24
